One North East is building a comprehensive range of quality support for businesses in the region. It encourages entrepreneurs, innovation and business growth by ensuring companies have access to finance, opportunities and intelligence, as well as any other kind of support they may need. State Aid
The State Aid rules are designed to ensure that public funds do not distort the common market by giving certain organisations an unfair competitive advantage.
Any public assistance provided to an organisation that carries out commercial activities must comply with the European Commission’s State Aid rules.
One North East works within the State Aid rules to provide projects and schemes which benefit the North East.
