Regional Language Network

Supported by the National Centre for Languages (CILT), the Regional Language Network North East is promoting a greater ability in language and cultural skills for business and employment.

It offers professional assistance to:

• Develop language skills
• Develop knowledge of other business cultures
• Improve business performance in international markets
• Help develop the region's business competitiveness

Best Performing RLN

The network was named the best-performing Regional Language Network in the UK by CILT in 2003.

It has engaged with over 500 businesses in the North East since its creation. Through one-to-one mentoring, the network is set to help more companies in the region achieve greater success in international markets.

The network also offers services to those involved in teaching language and cultural skills, individuals with language skills, and language service providers.
