E-Leadership Council

On behalf of the Board and on the recommendation of the Chief Executive, the Chairman agreed in November to form an E-Leadership Council. The Council will provide advice to the Board in relation to the Agency's entire electronic and Information, Communications and Technology agenda.

E-Leadership Council - vision statement

The digital revolution is transforming how people live and work.  It creates enormous benefits for individuals and organisations.  It opens the world to the region - so people based anywhere, can trade anywhere.  It’s cheaper and faster to do business - and easier to create one. It puts a premium on creativity and innovation.

The north-east is good at innovation - after all, we created the industrial revolution.  We’re already seizing this new opportunity.  We already have global digital leaders.  And we’re capable of much more.

So our vision is of a region at the forefront of the digital revolution: a place where the skills, talents and self-belief of its people transform life and work in the 21st Century.
