ERDF Programme Monitoring Committee (PMC)
Government Office for the North East chairs the Programme Monitoring Committee (PMC) for the ERDF Competitiveness Programme 2007-13.
The PMC exists to engage key partners in the region and oversee the strategic delivery of the programme. It performs the tasks and responsibilities laid down by the European Commission to satisfy itself of the quality and effectiveness of the programme’s implementation.
The PMC is responsible for the programme’s strategic direction and formal monitoring, ensuring that targets are met and redirecting work as and when required. The PMC is not an executive body and therefore does not award grants.
Membership of the PMC is governed by EU Commission regulations and is made up by representation from sectors across the region. PMC members include:
- Government Office for the North East
- Voluntary Organisations’ Network North East (VONNE)
- Association of Colleges
- Unis4NE
- Trades Union Congress
- Northern Business Forum
- Local authorities
- Commission for Equality and Human Rights
- Natural England
- Department for Communities & Local Government
