North East England full of hidden benefits

A host of North East England Hidden Benefits will be officially unveiled to tour operators at this year’s Best of Britain and Ireland show, held at London’s Olympia on March 17th - in a brand new incentives book.

The 2010 booklet contains more than 30 special offers for tour operators to take advantage of, including group discounts, guided tours of top attractions and discounted shopping offers.

The cheque-book style booklet encourages group travel organisers and tour operators to bring their tours to North East England and builds on the success of previous schemes in past years.

Offers this year include discounted admission at Beamish Wild, Durham; Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens; Northumberland, and Nature’s World, Tees Valley and free tea and coffee at Dalton Park.

North East England takes in Northumberland, Durham, NewcastleGateshead, Sunderland, North Tyneside and South Tyneside and Tees Valley and is full of hidden gems for visiting groups. With two World Heritage Sites, a National Park, two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and an abundance of castles and gardens; the region is immersed in history and heritage, offers spectacular coastlines and countryside, flourishes with vibrant city culture and, most importantly, assures a warm and friendly welcome. With most of its attractions welcoming groups, the region is proud to say it is ‘Passionate about group travel’.

Denise Wigham, Group Travel specialist at One North East said: “We have produced the Hidden Benefits booklet in the past and it has proven to be very successful.
“It is part of the on-going marketing campaign to promote North East England to tour operators and group travel organisers and follows on from the launch of the specially-dedicated group travel website.
“As well as raising the awareness of what is on offer for groups in the region it also promotes the individual attractions and businesses who are providing a range of special offers.”
