One NorthEast believes the biggest asset of the region is its people. This is a region where exceptional creativity and innovation takes place. The North East has a tradition for creating brilliant ideas. It is a region whose people are imaginative, resourceful and ready to face the challenges of the future.

A more diverse, knowledge driven economy will only be created across the region if the adult workforce and young people entering the labour market acquire additional skills. The North East needs to create the opportunities for those excluded from the labour market to participate in it, helping raise regional GVA.
